One year ago today, I uploaded a little cartoon to Facebook about St. Valentine catching flack in Heaven for his feast day---just a fun little one-off for a few friends.
Twelve months, thirteen cartoons, and thousands of shares on social media later, here I am. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that I'd be making a name for myself as a Catholic cartoonist, getting contracted for illustration work from the likes of Our Sunday Visitor and Word on Fire Ministries, with more to come. God is good!
Oh, and in case you don't "get" the last few panels, I'd recommend reading up on the OTHER saints whose feast day is Feb. 14th. They're not well-celebrated in the West, but they're a bit better known by the Eastern Churches, remembered mostly for giving them a little thing called "their entire culture."
